SIXTH FORM (Years 14-16)

A high proportion of pupils who complete their GCSE courses at St Michael's obtain good grades, meet the criteria for entry into Sixth Form and proceed to A Level courses.

All students are also timetabled for a non-examination course in Religious Education. Careers Education and Guidance together with Work Shadowing or work experience are an integral part of the Sixth Form Curriculum.

Each student's choice of course is based on personal choice, professional advice from the subject teachers and/or Heads of Department regarding his/her suitability and competence to pursue specific courses, and Career Guidance on the implications of subject choices for the future.

Lower Sixth students will be able to study a fourth AS subject for one year only choosing from a selection on offer.

AVCE's (formely GNVQ) in Business Studies and Information Technology will also be on offer depending on the demand.
